"Had an amazing experience at this school. Damien and his colleagues are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and kind. We also booked our accommodation through Kiteboarding Costa Rica which was amazing! We had the entire upstairs of a house with gorgeous views. The home is huge with two bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, great wifi and best of all we had a private outdoor pool! The kiting beach is a 1-2 mins walk down the hill and we could walk to one of our favourite restaurants, in all of Costa Rica, for lunch or dinner. We truly had a remarkable time and I'd strongly suggest booking with Kiteboarding Costa Rica for lessons and accommodation."

"If you are heading to Costa Rica to kiteboard, I encourage you to hook up with Kiteboarding Costa Rica. We had the privilege of staying with them twice during our extended stay in the country. Although my husband has experience and didn’t need lessons, he was very appreciative of the assistance and camaraderie of the staff. They are resourceful and always willing to lend a hand. Kiteboarding is a community and the school and staff know the importance of this. You kite in Bahai Salinas and it’s good for beginners or experienced kiters. You’ll have to check the conditions and talk to staff prior to booking about lessons. January and February bring strong winds and some gusty conditions. Fun for the experienced kiter, but with instructions, good for the beginner too. The first time we were there we stayed in a loft right beside the school. It was a couple hundred meters from the launch. The loft was equipped with basic equipment in the kitchen and the space was clean. The second time, we stayed a short walk away in Villa Dermi. The kitchen had full-sized appliances and adequate kitchenware, and the loft had plenty of space. I spent lots of time in the hammock. As a non-kiter, I spent a lot of time in the pool , reading and walking the area. The wifi was awesome. It was a serene place to do my yoga everyday. If not kiting, there is plenty of beautiful surroundings to explore and good restaurants in the local area. I’d rent a car because getting here is quite the distance, but lots of kiters we met took the bus to La Cruz. I’m sure Lucie can help with this. The communication with Lucie prior to and during our stay was fantastic. Lucie is efficient and helpful. This is so important for a traveller. Enjoy your time here!"

"My buddy and I came here to learn to kite with no experience. We picked this spot because the first timers package is a great deal especially if you are looking to kite after your lessons. Damien and Mathilde are the nicest and most positive teachers. We had specific tips for every run from the top of the beach. They cut us loose on day 4 and both of us were up winding by the the end of our trip. When you’re not in a lesson and still learning Francisco was there to catch your kite and get you back up the beach. He was key in us getting a bunch of kite time and $10 an hour was worth every penny. Lucie and Kent are awesome hosts. You will def see Lucie’s smile every morning asking you if you need anything. All the equipment we used was brand new. Our success in our week there was due to all these awesome circumstances. New sports are rad!!!"

"I visited Kiteboarding Costa Rica in January of 2020 and had a great experience. I’m a beginner kiter with the ability to get up and kite but limited experience in different conditions. I talked to Lucie and decided to rent gear instead of lessons. The Kiteboarding Costa Rica team was excellent as they kept an eye on beginners in the water. Actually, the whole community of kiters were supportive and helped each other when necessary. I stayed at Villa Dermi and loved it. I bought food in Liberia and ate most meals at the villa. The villa was nice, not luxurious but comfortable and very functional and in a beautiful location. It was windy all week and was not crowded I definitely plan to return.
