Acapulco Beach, Mexico is a
Small waves and Medium waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Big size.
It's a very nice, long and sandy beach at the outsides from Acapulco. Always beach goers around. There is a runway in the airport that points directly to sea, stay well clear of it, it is often used for smaller planes that approach at low altitudes but apart from that, dig in, miles and miles of beach to choose from.
The waves can get pretty big so if its too much, there is a lagoon opposite the beach, which is pretty good as well. Lots of space. Look out for some areas with strong currents, who can suck you out to the sea. If you get into one, swim to the side, away from those channels. Be prepared to help some swimmers. Watch out for surfers, and avoid the main surf spots, e.g. Bonfil and Princess.
