Beach and Tide Conditions
Kitesurfing conditions do not depend on Tide on this spot.
C-Street Ventura, California (USA) is a Chop, Small waves and Medium waves spot.
The launching/landing area is reported to be of Small size.
Cobblestone beach with patches of sand. It's full of rocks and wood on the beach. Launching and starting area is really small. Respect the surfers as they are prone to having words with kiters in the parking lot if they are disrespected.
C-Street is a wave spot with waves between 2 ft on small days and 6 to 8 ft on bigger days. The waves are clean but it can be choppy beyond the surf zone. The surf zone is lined with round small rocks. Choose the river inlet to launch into the waves. A lot of rocks just below the water surface, and also some old rusted pole you only see at low tide. If you drop your kite outside and get washed through the surfers, don't expect less than many not so friendly words as you drift through. A possible physical confrontation is not out of the question. Not a user friendly kite spot. There is also a well established rotation in the surf with the local kiters. Respect that as well. Not a spot to learn to wave kite or learn for that matter. If you can not stay up wind don't even think about it.
