From Orlando take 528 East. Drive all the way to its end in Cocoa Beach. Here get onto A1A South. Turn left onto N Atlantic Ave and turn right on Washington Ave. After a few blocks turn left onto Ridgewood Ave and see on the right side a bigger parking lot with signs Cherie Down Park. Free parking.

October through May is the best time, but the most reliable months would be April and May when a combination of late season cold fronts and spring trades blow and it warmed back up. Summer: Southeast thermal - lite to moderate, thunderstorm dodging. Fall: all directions but the Northeast is what we live for. Lite to windy, never can tell what day will produce. Winter: all directions, some gusty west winds on lagoon, and some great North and Northeast winds for the ocean. Spring: West, Northwest, North, Northeast and Southeast.
