Beach and Tide Conditions
Recommended tide for kitesurfing is Low Tide .
Cocoa Beach, Florida (USA) is a Chop, Small waves and Medium waves spot.
The launching/landing area is reported to be of Big size.
Nice wide white sandy beach, with some sea oats to tangle your lines. Easy launch with no rocks, just miles of sandy beach. Please stay away from the city and county beaches for launching. If yellow flags are on the beach it is a guarded beach for swimming. Good Breeze Kiteboarding has all the gear you need!
Ocean waves, flat to 8ft when swell is on. Most of the time it consists of 1-3ft wind chop with mellow waves. Only gets hairy if hurricanes come close or big northeasters whip through in winter. Please stay 200 ft off beach when passing on downwinders. Also keep a good distance from surfers and fisherman, they were here first.

Additional information
A parking is available at Cocoa Beach, Florida (USA).
The spot has Showers and Toilets facilities.
There is Food available on the spot
There is only one no kiteboarding area. Patrick Air Force Base 3 miles south of Cocoa Beach has banned kiteboarding due to low flying planes. Please do not kiteboard anywhere near the base. Access to beach is just north of the base to start downwinders on southeast winds. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM PAFB. Please don't kiteboard on crowded holiday weekends, memorial day, labor day or 4th of July. Until beach crowds have subsided or find and uncrowded beach. So far the lifeguards and city officials have not crack down on kiteboarding, so please don't give them a reason to. This is possibly one of the best downwind areas of the coast. With the Cocoa Beach trolley running the length of the city every half hour it easy to do a five mile run for a dollar. Just wear a lycra and stash some flip flops to get on trolley or pick some up at the beach stores for 3 bucks. Favorite run on southeast winds is from 12th street south to SR 520 beach park. Showers to clean up and main trolley stop is close by. On north winds just do the opposite.
