How to get there
Fly into Perth. Hire a van, head North on Indian Ocean Highway toward Geraldton. Before Dongara, (65km S of Geraldton) Indian Ocean Highway will merge with NW Coastal Highway. 30km past Geraldton leave NW Coastal Highway ands turn left at the (very small) sign "Coronation Beach". 8km more and you are at the beach. Be very careful on the final approach at the top of the hill before descending to the beach. When you see the two big red signs ("REDUCE SPEED"), SLOW DOWN or you will lose it. Many accidents there. The caretaker is the first hut at the entrance to the car park at about 10 o'clock from the approach.

There are separate launching zones for kiters and windsurfers - windsurf rigging and launch zone is to the south; kitesurfing rigging and launch zone is on the northern end of the carpark.
The first 800m from the shore are shallow and flat. At the outher sandbar you can find breaking waves from 1m up to 4m. The waves are not powerful or dangerous.
