Fuerteventura / Flag Beach, Canary Islands is a
Flat, Chop, Small waves, Medium waves and Big waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Big size.
Big open beach, lots of space. With low water springs you have to be careful as there are rocks at both ends of the beach. Loads of really sharp rocks at low tide.
Flag is the start of some 6-7 km of white sand, with an about 3 km kitesurf zone. The best months for kitesurfing are March to November. This is when the sea tends to be flat and the wind consistent. During the winter months it can become too wavy and though it might be good on the occasional day it cannot be guaranteed. Waves up to 3 or 4m during winter possible when swell comes in.
