There is
Thermal wind
at Lobitos, Peru.
The wind here blows side off to off shore all the time. Rarely is it straight side or onshore. This again means that you have to have your act together and be prepared if you have problems for a long swim or ditch your kite. The wind Wwill blow you out to sea and there are no rescue options unless there are other kiters. But even at that it is risky. The wind can tend to be a bit gusty right at the take off spot of the wave due to some land features that create a bit of a dead spot.

Lobitos, Peru is a
Small waves, Medium waves and Big waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Big size.
The beach is huge and there is nothing around. The point is a sand point that build off rocks at the top.
Lobitos is a wave spot. So make sure you have your wave skills together. It is not a spot to learn how to kite in surf. There is a ripping current at times. Make sure if there are people surfing you give them the right at all times, no matter if you are deeper up the point. There is 2 piers that are down wind that will come up fast even though they look far away from the top of the point. There are also fishing boats moored outside of the pier. Many of people have ended up tangled in the pier or touring through the boats not by choice.

Though there are no written rules, you will be in the surf and need to respect that. If there is a large pack of guys surfing, let them surf and kite when it is lighter crowds. Since the wind is side off the wave stays smooth all day, so guys may be surfing all day. Never drop in a guy surfing! As for kiting, don't short jibe! Get into the rotation of heading outside and taking your position. If you are going to be doing freestyle, this is not the place for you. You will be in the way. There are plenty of other spots for that. Right now the scene is mellow and everyone respects everyone. You all know that one person can rune this vibe. The place is beautiful, so lets keep it that way. Take all trash out with you. And leave harsh attitudes back at your spot.
