How to get there
Fly From Brisbane to Mackay. Takes about an hour and a bit. Call the local kiteshop and they will pick you up. It is a dirt/sand road to get to the Point but any car is fine as long as you keep on the track.

Mackay East Point, Australia is a
Shallow, Flat, Chop and Small waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Big size.
Beach is soft sand with a bit of debris around tho. Plenty of area for safe launching.
This spot can be ridden at any tide height. A huge area for riding, basically like a kiteboard fun park with sandbars, flat glassy sections and also wave riding just over the sandbar. There is a river mouth (Pioneer River, look out for boats) as well that can be ridden in an outgoing tide. Nice. Jellyfishes from October to April.
