Beach and Tide Conditions
Maroubra Beach, Australia is a
Small waves and Medium waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Medium size.
The beach is about 1 km long, nice white sand with rocky section at the northern corner. Never kite in the northern end of the beach, as the cliffs at this end of the beach make the wind gusty, and the rocks in the water can catch you out. Pump up on the grass behind the skate park if you like.
This is one of the best surfing beaches around Sydney. Consistently gets whatever waves are around and works with southerly and northerly swells. Water is clean except after heavy rain, when storm water from the streets pollutes the beach. Rocks in the water at the northern end.
