How to get there
From Århus go to Ebeltoft, continue right through Ebeltoft and just before the ferry harbour you turn left, follow that road until you end on a big grass area and you have arrived to Øer. Look for the kites when you approach the area. If you come from the northern part of Denmark, in Randers you go left towards Ebeltoft and then the same route.

The beach is a little bit rough, there are lots of small stones, but just 25 meters from the water you find nice grass for rigging your kite and surf stuff.
You can have flat water conditions, choppy waves and smaller waves on the same spot within a few hundred meters. Waves up to 2 meters. Note: Remember to bring your surfboard, the ferry goes very close to the beach and produces some nice Hawaii waves. If you are in the area on a day with no wind, go to Øer and check out these waves, 2-3 minutes after the ferry has left the harbor you will see a nice set of waves coming directly to the beach. They are up to 2 meters high and very powerful. You can have fun every 30min all day long with your paddle board here.
