Beach and Tide Conditions
Recommended
tide for kitesurfing is
High Tide
.
Oostvoorne, Netherlands is a
Shallow, Flat and Chop spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Big size.
The beach is very huge, so launching is not a problem. With low tide you must walk a few hundred meters to reach the water. At low tide there are some wooden sticks (not many) so watch out a bit. Safe, since there is always shore. At high tide the beach can get small.
During low tide it's quite a long walk to the water, from where you park your car. The water is flat and shallow than. When it gets high tide, the walk isn't that far. The water is perfectly flat, like a mirror, near the cars and a bit further more out it's real choppy. Generally speaking there are no waves. The water is most times perfectly flat cause the beach lays in a U-shape. Besides that you can stand in the water for a couple hundred meters so that makes it excellent for beginners to start and for experts to do their tricks. The water is very dirty. Watch out for seaweed.
