Roches Noires Public Beach, Mauritius is a
Shallow, Flat and Chop spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Small size.
The public beach is for general access, but this unfortunately is fairly rocky and you will have to be a top rider to enter the water safely. Careful for the general prevailing wind is of sideonshore nature, and quite a few kiters have had trouble at the launch.
Very big lagoon (several km). The lagoon is very beautiful with very clear water and a bit choppy because of its size. Not really a spot where you will be able to ride the waves as the wind is sideonshore and there is a ripping current in the passes.
