How to get there
Autobahn A27 until Cuxhaven. Follow signs "Kurgebiete" and "Sahlenburg". In Sahlenburg follow the only road allowed to the beach. Surfers are allowed to park directly at the beach from 3 hours before high tide until 3 hours afterwards. Make sure to park your car that still bigger cars can pass. Free parking.

Kitesurfing allowed all year, but only 5 hours before and 3 hours after high tide. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are only allowed at the two segments of the beach at the far south of the village. No surfing in the nature reserve or the swimmers' area, otherwise the spot will be closed! Toilets and showers only open during the season. Entering the beach during the season cost about 2.50 Euro. The kitebeach is also the only beach allowed for dogs.
