Santa Rita, Portugal is a
Shallow, Medium waves and Big waves spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Big size.
Just sand dunes and watch out for the odd beach sign. During low tide you can walk in fairly far.
Wave size, naturally depends on weather conditions (1-6m, average is 2m). The beach is very long, and there is a section where surfers tend to ride. Watch out for jelly fish episodes (rare), which with the local restaurant where the lifeguard hangs out first, no sharks, etc. otherwise. The only thing to watch out for is the rocks at north end, but if you go that far you've also passed the designated swimming area. Watch out for currents.
