By the café hangs a defibrillator, on the beach is an emergency triangle and with an amazing view overlooking the bay, land on three sides, and plenty of activity on the beach and the surrounding streets in general, this spot will feel safe to most kiters.

Overall, you should be aware of other users in the water and on the beach when kiting at Sønderstrand, however, it is easy for accompanying non-kiters to find something to do in the surrounding area, and off-season you will have more than plenty of space.
