Beach and Tide Conditions
Kitesurfing conditions
do not depend on Tide
on this spot.
South Beach, Australia is a
Shallow and Flat spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Medium size.
Nice enough. Big, wide with white sand. Bit of weed washed up. Plenty of launch area. Leaving the beach can be tricky if you want the really flat stuff straight away as there is a rocky outcrop in the way. As soon as a kitesurfer pulls up to this beach they would start drooling.
Super flat. Barely a ripple. In light wind you can see everything on the surface below. Coral, fish, white sand. If your first in you'll see loads of stingrays but they leave quickly. Waves are huge out back but not rideable due to rocks.
