Sandy beach with lots of room.
Flat water on low tide. Lagoons between sandbars at low tide for extreme flat conditions. Can be waves at at high tide if there is a swell. Good for learning at low tide, at high tide you need to stay upwind to stay away of the south jetty, since the city doesn't want anyone kiting between the jetty and the pier. Watch out for the sign posts in the water at high tide. Tides make a big difference.
