Usually windy in only poor weather conditions powered by frontal systems. The big prevailing Southeasterlies blow directly onshore, frequently 15-20 knots. There is no way of getting lost here in these conditions. As long as you don't venture out into the Straight of Georgia you'll always be safely deposited back on the beach. Best and very safe at low to medium tide. Wind can be gusty closer to shore. Wind shadow closer to Craig Bay on the SW side, but you can always step off the board onto the flats and walk back safely. The beach not suitable in the prevailing Summer NW winds as it is totally sheltered to the North.
