Vemmingbund, Denmark is a
Shallow, Flat and Chop spot.
The
launching/landing area
is reported to be of
Medium size.
One of the best sandy beaches in all of Southern Denmark. The beach is well-known for its many swimmers during July and August, and the local authorities keep the beach clear of seaweed during summer.
Flat to choppy water. Shallow in the beginning. Watch out for wooden stakes with fishing nets in the middle of the bay and the wooden bridge. The water in Vemmingbund is mostly choppy, and if you look for bigger waves the spot is recommendable as well, especially when the wind is onshore. You can reach the bottom until about 50 m. out, but from there it gets deep, so to make the most of the hotspot you should be an experienced kiter.

Watch out for wooden stakes with fishing nets in the middle of the bay and the wooden bridge. Stay away from swimmers. At the Vemmingbund hotspot you will find a kiosk that is open all year round, it offers miniature golf, and on the beach there is a wooden pier, so chances are good that non-surfers will find entertainment while you are on the water, but look out for them and others when you are surfing. Since the hotspot is a holiday home area and popular amongst the locals as well, there is much activity both on and off the water, which combined with an emergency triangle, an emergency number sign and land on three sides, gives a safe feeling to the area.
