Beach and Tide Conditions
Recommended tide for kitesurfing is High Tide .
Wildcat Park, Texas (USA) is a Shallow, Chop and Small waves spot.
The launching/landing area is reported to be of Medium size.
No real beach to speak of, but there is a large grassy rigging and launching area with a shade gazebo and a fresh water shower. Uphill is a rest area, stay away from there. To enter the water walk to the left side and then further along the shore to not step into mussels and do go upwind easier. Beginners should walk away from shore and launch from there.
Very shallow on the inside. Sometimes as low as inches for about 100-300 meters from shore. Outside it's choppy with rolling swells farther out. Sandy bottom, only in front of the access concrete rocks and sharp mussels.
