How to get there
There is an airport in Wilmington and is about 20 minutes from the beach. You can rent a car there. Drive west to Wrightsville Beach. There are a couple of beach accesses at the south end of Wrightsville Beach. It's paid parking and fills up pretty fast during the tourist season.

The best kitesurfing will be from spring to late fall when the winds are from the East to Southeast. Air temps can be in the 90's°F during the summer with water temps in the 80's°F. A wetsuit would be necessary in the spring and fall when the air/water temps are cooler. The air temps will start out in the 60's-70's°F and water temps in the 60's°F and finish at about the same. Surfing is possible and done all year round.
